Modern infrastructure with sustainable facade design
The Koralmbahn represents a new era of modern mobility: more than 130 kilometers of new track, numerous tunnels and over 100 bridges form a high-performance link between Styria and Carinthia. As part of this large-scale project, Rieder’s facade solutions define the look of several stations and operational facilities.
Construction section 7.3 of the Koralmbahn in Groß St. Florian stands for modern, functional architecture along one of Europe’s most important new rail lines. For the facade, 3,800 m² of concrete skin elements were used. The precisely crafted glassfibre reinforced concrete facade gives the building a clean, timeless appearance and emphasizes the technical character of the facility. At the same time, the elements are highly durable and require minimal maintenance. Photos: Ditz Fejer
