Modern campus design

The Theresian Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt has been expanded with a new service building. More than 1,100 m² of concrete skin facade elements in the colour chrome were used for the exterior of the new structure. In combination with the adjacent timber accommodation building, this creates a seamless integration into the overall campus.

The service building was constructed using conventional solid construction methods and is functionally designed to provide central services for the academy. The catering unit has a daily capacity of over 600 people. In addition to the kitchen and dining hall, it houses specialist workshops such as a saddlery, tailoring shop, shoemaker’s workshop and carpentry, as well as the garrison’s central clothing and equipment depot. A photovoltaic system was installed on the roof to ensure sustainable energy supply. Photos: Ditz Fejer
