The Opportunity in Crisis

From March 13 to 15, 2025, the "Turn On" architecture festival will once again take place at the ORF RadioKulturhaus in Vienna – now in its 23rd edition. Under the overarching theme "The Opportunity in Crisis," the festival will explore current challenges and opportunities in architecture. It will highlight key building projects such as residential construction while also addressing fundamental architectural themes like space, materiality, and structure.

In engaging lectures, architects will collaborate with industry and business partners to discuss these pressing issues. We are especially pleased that Gerald Kessler and Wolfgang Rieder will be present to share insights into the new production halls in Maishofen.

Form follows resource – a concept that is impressively showcased in these new production halls. They stand as a prime example of resource-conscious construction, skillfully blending functionality with aesthetics. To reduce waste in the production of glassfibre reinforced concrete facade elements, an innovative facade concept was developed using data analysis and computer-generated design. This approach has already been successfully implemented on the exterior of the new halls.
