Lightweight, resource-efficient, innovative

By using formed parts made of glass fiber reinforced concrete with a thickness of only 13 mm, Rieder offers an innovative alternative to conventional solid precast elements. While traditional precast concrete components are often produced with large material thicknesses and therefore considerable weight, the slender 3D elements enable a significantly more resource-efficient and structurally efficient facade solution. Reduced material use not only conserves valuable raw resources but also lowers weight, transportation effort and the load placed on the structural system.

Despite their minimal thickness, the elements provide high stability across large spans and open up new design possibilities for architects, allowing for precise and geometrically sophisticated building envelopes. At the same time, the moisture-resistant material structure and low susceptibility to dirt ensure long-lasting, low-maintenance facade surfaces. The benefits of the lightweight components are also evident during construction: thanks to factory pre-assembly and a well-designed fastening system, the elements can be installed efficiently and accurately on site.
