Mix of materials creates colour contrast
The Clean Water Facility in the small coastal community of Oak Harbor features an impressive new, innovative and sustainable membrane bioreactor. The project offers a groundbreaking approach to integrating wastewater treatment, economic development and recreational use. The administration and maintenance buildings impress with eco-friendly building technologies and are LEED Silver certified. For the outer shell, concrete slats were combined with a clinker facade. The skilful mix of materials creates an exciting colour contrast. Photos: Ditz Fejer
