The Opportunity in Crisis
From 13 to 15 March 2025, the “Turn On” architecture festival will once again take place at the ORF RadioKulturhaus in Vienna – now in its 23rd edition. Under the overarching theme “The Opportunity in Crisis”, the festival will explore current challenges and opportunities in architecture. It will focus not only on key construction tasks such as residential building but also on fundamental architectural themes such as space, materiality, and construction.
Through engaging lectures, architects will join forces with industry and business partners to discuss these pressing topics. We are particularly pleased that Gerald Kessler and Wolfgang Rieder will be present to share insights into the new production halls in Maishofen.
Form follows resource – a concept that is vividly reflected in these new production halls. They serve as an outstanding example of resource-efficient construction, seamlessly combining functionality and aesthetics. In order to minimise waste in the production of glassfibre reinforced concrete facade elements, an innovative facade concept was developed using data analysis and computer-generated design. This approach has already been successfully applied to the exterior of the new halls.
